Family: Motacillidae, Wagtails and Pipits view all from this family
Description Long tail and yellow underparts make male easily recognizable; note also the olive-green back, two pale wing bars on dark wings, and blue-gray crown, white supercilium, and dark cheeks. Female is similar, but less colorful. Juvenile recalls adult, but has gray upperparts and whitish underparts; note two pale wing bars and dark-bordered white throat.

Discussion Mainly Asian species that breeds in tundra scrub in western Alaska (May-Aug).
