Description Male has green upperparts, purple-sheened throat, and otherwise whitish underparts, with gray-green flanks; tail is forked. Female has green upperparts and white throat; breast and flanks are washed orange-buff.

Habitat Favors arid mountains and rare summer visitor (mainly Apr-Sep) to southern Arizona and southwest Texas.
