Range Southeast, New England, Mid-Atlantic
Discussion Striking black, gray, and white goose. Adult has white face, black nape and neck, and whitish underparts; back is gray overall, but submarginal black feather margins create barred effect. Breeds in Greenland, usually winters in Europe, but occasionally turns up in northeast in winter; also widely kept in captivity and regularly escapes.
