Description Also known as the Pale Arctic Clouded Yellow, the Colias Palaeno is a holarctic species, which ranges through the northern areas of North America, Europe, and Asia.

As most Colias-species, it is an avid flyer. Though the species is normally restricted to the habitats, occasionally it is found far from suitable breeding grounds. The larva is found on Vaccinium uliginosum.

Dimensions 1 3/8-1 3/4" (35-44 mm).

Habitat Arctic habitats.

Range Western Canada, Alaska, Eastern Canada.
