Description The Arrowhead Blue (Glaucopsyche piasus) is a western North American butterfly of the family Lycaenidae. It is a locally common butterfly that favors prairie, open woodland, and woodland edges and trails.

Dimensions 1-1 1/4" (25-32 mm).

Habitat Alpine & subalpine habitats, Canyons & caves, Meadows & fields.

Range Southwest, Plains, Western Canada, California, Rocky Mountains, Northwest.
