Description Native perennial shrub or vine. May be deciduous or evergreen.
Leaf: clasping, 1-3" long x 1/2" wide.
Flower: daisy-like, narrow white-lavender petals radiating from a yellow center.
Flower Year-round in Florida; late fall/winter elsewhere.
Habitat Sunny sites in wet areas and freshwater shorelines.
Range Coastal Southeast from North Carolina to Florida. Now rare in North Carolina.
Discussion This plant is a wetland indicator.
