Description Native perennial. Stem: hairless to lightly hairy. Height: up to 1.5 feet. Leaf: pinnate and finely dissected, oblong to ovate, to 1/2 to 4 inches long, 2-6 inches wide. Leaves higher on the stem have prominent sheaths. Flower: loose yellow clusters in an umbel up to 4" diameter. The plant taproot is slender, and its aboveground appearance is leafy.

Flower February - June.

Habitat Open grassy slopes, meadows and woodlands.

Range western North America from British Columbia to California.
