Description Sprawling, much-branched plant forming clumps on the beach.
Habit: native, annual or perennial, subshrub or herb.
Height: often prostrate with branches 18 in (50 cm) long or more.
Leaf: succulent, ovate to oblanceolate, with edges entire or toothed or pinnately lobed.
Flower: terminal, white to lavender, 1/2 in (12 mm) wide; with 4 obovate petals, around yellow center.

Flower April to October.

Habitat Sandy beaches.

Range Gulf Coast from Florida to Texas.
