Description Spiny, brown stripe on each side. Gray/tan with wavy crossbars on back mostly on females. Blue belly and throat.
Dimensions 8.9-13.7cm. (3 1/2-5 3/8")
Breeding Breeds from February. 2-8 eggs in clutch, multiple clutches laid April-August. Hatch after 6-8 weeks.
Habitat Rosemary scrub on old sand dunes.
Range Florida.
Discussion Diurnal. Rest on rosemary bushes. Forages in forest debris and leaf litter for food. Diet mainly consists of insects. Terrestrial but climbs trees when threatened.
