Description Glreen. Brown line from eyes to legs. Sometimes spots. Olive throat on males.
Dimensions 1.9-5.7cm. (3/4-2 1/4")
Voice Metallic note, repeated often every second.
Breeding June-August, after rains. Eggs attached in strings to underwater vegetation beneath the water surface.
Habitat temperate forests, subtropical or tropical moist montanes, subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland, rivers, intermittent rivers, swamps, freshwater marshes, and intermittent freshwater marches.
Range Arizona mountains to Mexico.
Discussion Nocturnal. Mostly found in Mexico. Will eat anything that fits in its mouth, mostly insects.
