Description Thigh of hindleg bright orange/yellow. Rough green-brownish skin. Dark blotches on back.
Dimensions 3.2-6cm. (1 1/4-2 3/8")
Voice Resontating trill. Mostly heard in spring/summer.
Breeding April-August. In southern parts breeds in winter.
Habitat Woodland trees & shrubs near water.
Range Eastern United States & Canada.
Discussion Nocturnal. Sits in trees, comes down at night to breed and chorus. Overlaps range with other species particularly Cope's Treefrog. Indistinguishable from Cope's appearance. Cope's has a faster trill.
