Track Tracks are usually seen in dust; hindprints are about 1 1/2" (37 mm) long when heel shows, with 5 toes; foreprints smaller and rounder, with 4 toes showing.
Sign Burrow openings 2" (50 mm) wide; openings are often hidden under a clump, and no mound marks them, for excess dirt is spread evenly over the ground. From entrance, radiating runways on surface of ground.
Scat: Droppings are variable, usually elongated, 1/2" (12 mm) pellets.
