Track When animal is resting on hindlegs, base of tail forms drag marks between complete hindprints, 1 1/8 - 1 1/2" (29-37mm) long; when moving slowly, smaller round foreprints made between or just in front of hindprints; when making long jumps, only fronts of hindfeet touch ground, leaving small round prints 1" (25 mm) across.
Sign Burrow openings with small mounds of soil near shrub bases; small, shallow, scooped-out sand-bathing spots.
