Description Small, slow-growing fan palm with leaves that are dark blue-green above and silver-coloured below. Trunk upright, not showy. Flowers white small on light orange branches. Fruits globose, half an inch in diameter, green turning purple or black when ripe.

Habitat Scrub, shrub & brushlands, Beaches & shorelines.
Range Florida.
Discussion The Endangered Florida Key Deer feed on the fruits of the silver top palm. Most suited for residential or commercial landscapes for the unusual blue foliage; colorful accent in a shrub border.
