Endangered Status The Bone Cave Harvestman is on the U.S. Endangered Species List. It is classified as endangered in Texas. Found in below-ground caves in Travis and Williamson Counties, this spiderlike invertebrate and its fellow cave-dwellers has been easy to overlook. Indeed, the caves that these creatures live in have been systematically destroyed throughout much of Texas to make way for development. Pollutants and changes to temperature and moisture levels threaten the survival of the species in the caves that remain.
