Description Native. Habit: erect, opposite, with a smooth silver stem. Height: 18-24 inches. Leaf: narrow silver lances, lobed, 2-5 inches long, arranged radially around the stem. Flower: White bracts resembling the leaves surround a 1/2 inch diameter oval head, silver turning light blue.
Flower July - October.
Habitat Sandy soils.
Range Louisiana west to Arizona, and into Mexico.
Discussion This plant resembles a thistle. Also known as: Wright's erygno.
