Baby Bluebirds

We had five baby eastern bluebirds fledge successfully from our nest box a few months ago. We saw the parents feeding them at our feeders for several weeks and then we saw them feeding on their own for several weeks. We have not seen them now for some time. Have the babies gone on to find their own territories or did something happen to them?

The parent bluebirds are probably involves in a second or third nesting somewhere not far away, but obviously not at your houses. The young of the first brood often will help their parents raise the second or third broods. I would guess that your bluebird family is within a half mile of you.
